ANNUAL MEETING
At our annual meeting all of the current officers were reappointed. Tori Stypula is the Chairperson, Dennis Caldwell is the Vice-chair, and Cheryl Caballero is the Secretary.
Tucson Water came and gave a taste test of the two new water standards being proposed. One costs less but ruins appliances faster. The other costs more and tastes better (according to our survey).
Feeding pigeons in the neighborhood was raised a growing concern. It is against City ordinances to feed pigeons. Citations can be issued if a health concern is caused by the feeding.
MANSFIELD PARK COALITION
As many of you know, our neighborhood also participates in this coalition. The coalition’s aims are safer neighborhoods and better amenities at Mansfield Park.
At our February meeting we were informed of a new pilot program for free spaying and neutering services in Ward III. This program is funded by the new specialty license plates for animals in AZ. For more information, please contact Dot Jones at 808-2135 or at dotslade@dakotacom.net.
A representative from the Northwest Neighborhood Center informed us the new signage to be put in place at the center. He also brought a copy of the center’s newsletter. He talked about the sports leagues at the center and how to register.
