El Cortez Heights Neighborhood Association

In case you saw the large pile of cement chunks in the wash at 3rd Ave and Seneca, it is not a mistake. It is part of a neighborhood beautification project. The plan is to lay these pieces down the wash to help the flow of water, control the weeds and give the bad guys an uneven path to run away from the police.

Anyone who could spare an hour of their time would be welcomed to join us on Saturday, February 23rd in the morning. I will be there between 8 am and noon.

Join Vice Mayor Nina Trasoff for a tour of the Downtown Area and an update of activities and construction that include:

* Renovations underway at the former MLK Apartments
* 4th Avenue Underpass construction and new alignment
* Tour of the Rialto Theatre and the Rialto Block Renovation Project
